Member's Mark Cobb Salad with Chicken

cobbs salad with chicken

Price: $10.88

If you want to skip the prep work of making your own salad at home, pick up this Cobb salad kit from Sam's Club, complete with chicken, hard-boiled eggs, and more toppings.

It's made with crisp romaine, grilled chicken, blue cheese, bacon, tomatoes, sliced eggs and red onions, all paired with an avocado ranch dressing. Sam's Club prepares it fresh in the club daily.

The salad is $5.28 per pound, so prices will vary, but you'll get nine servings per container, meaning each serving will be a little over a dollar. Reviewers love the fresh toppings, though a few say the blue cheese and onions can be strong. One shopper adds avocado, croutons and spinach to stretch it further.

Don Miguel Chicken and Cheese Mini Tacos

chicken and cheese mini tacos

Price: $11.98

Just throw these mini tacos in the oven, and you've got a delicious, low-cost meal. Packed full of chicken, corn salsa, and Monterrey Jack cheese, they're perfect as-is or as the base layer for your own delicious taco creation.

The tacos are made with white meat chicken and wrapped in crispy corn tortillas. Bake them in a conventional oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or heat them in the microwave or air fryer if you only need a few.

You'll get 60 tacos between the two packages, working out to 20 cents per taco. Reviewers say the seasoning isn't too spicy for kids, and several serve them with lettuce, sour cream, salsa or a cheese dip for an easy dinner.

Stouffer's Signature Lasagna with Meat Sauce

lasagna with meat sauce

Price: $14.98

It's hard to beat a Stouffer's lasagna's saucy, cheesy, meaty goodness, especially for just $14.98. The frozen lasagna contains 12 servings, which means it's $1.25 per meal — or $2.50 if you want seconds.

The 96-ounce party-size lasagna is made with freshly made pasta, meat sauce made from 100% pure beef, vine-ripened tomatoes and real mozzarella cheese. It has no preservatives and 19 grams of protein per serving.

That's nearly half of what you'd pay for a family-size Stouffer's lasagna at Target, which is $2.00 per serving. Just plan ahead: One reviewer notes it takes nearly an hour and a half to cook from frozen, so pop it in the oven well before dinnertime. Pair it with garlic bread or a salad to round out the meal.

Member's Mark Pork Carnitas

pork carnitas

Price: $13.98

The Sam's Club in-house brand, Member's Mark, offers some of the most creative, delicious prepackaged meals in the store, like this premade pork carnitas.

The carnitas are made from marbled cuts of pork shoulder, braised low and slow with seasonings inspired by Michoacán, the Mexican state where carnitas originated.

The 2-pound container of tender, shredded pork is a crowd favorite among Sam's Club shoppers. "The meat is tender, flavorful, and has just enough fat to keep it moist when reheating," one reviewer says.

Grab a stack of tortillas, and you'll have 11 servings of flavorful pork tacos for under $20. For crispy edges, heat them in the air fryer at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, then shred with a fork. They also work in burritos, quesadillas, nachos and rice bowls.

Member's Mark Pulled Pork

pulled pork

Price: $10.98

Slow-cooking pulled pork yourself can be very time-consuming, so this Member's Mark pulled pork is an easy shortcut.

It's made from pork shoulder that's barbecued low and slow in hardwood smoke for a hickory flavor, then pulled for a tender texture. It's fully cooked, pitmaster seasoned and made with no artificial ingredients.

The 2-pound container holds 11 servings, which works out to just about a dollar per serving, which is much cheaper than Target's three-serving Good & Gather pulled pork, which has three servings for $7.99.

Pile it on a bun to make a sandwich or top homemade nachos with the smoked pulled pork for a cheap meal the whole family will love. Add your favorite barbecue sauce, or try it in tacos, sliders or a burrito bowl.

Member's Mark Sundried Tomato Chicken Wraps

sundried tomato chicken wraps

Price: $10.76

These precut wraps make the perfect no-fuss lunch — no assembly required. It's priced at $5.38 per pound, so the cost will vary, but you'll likely pay around $10 for nutritious, ready-to-eat wraps.

These pinwheels are made with chicken, provolone cheese, red peppers and a sun-dried tomato spread rolled up in lavash bread. Sam's Club makes them fresh daily, and you'll find them in the Grab & Go cooler near the cafe.

If you're wondering whether it would be cheaper to make the wraps yourself, think again. A pack of Member's Mark sliced chicken breast alone will cost you more than the wraps at $9.97. The pinwheel shape also makes them easy to set out for a party or potluck, no utensils needed. Just know that reviews are mixed, with some shoppers wishing for more filling and flavor.

Barber Foods Broccoli and Cheese Raw Stuffed Chicken Breasts

broccoli and cheese raw stuffed chicken breasts

Price: $12.98

These lightly breaded, boneless chicken breasts are stuffed with cheesy broccoli for the perfect protein and vegetable combination, no ingredient prep required.

Each breast is individually wrapped and has 25 grams of protein per serving, so you can cook one for a quick lunch or all six for the family.

With six portions for $12.98, you'll pay just $2.16 per meal. In comparison, the same dinner would cost $7.99 for two servings at Safeway. Because the chicken is raw, skip the microwave.

Bake it from frozen at 375 degrees for about 40 to 45 minutes, until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees. Some reviewers prefer the air fryer and set the chicken on a small foil tray in case any cheese leaks out.

Member's Mark Seasoned Angus Beef Bites

seasoned angus beef bites

Price: $17.94

Instead of taking the time to season and cook the beef yourself, serve these herby Angus beef bites with a side for a classic, hearty meal on a budget.

The tender, bite-sized beef is slow-cooked and topped with a herb garlic compound butter, saving you money and time on a delicious dinner. You can't beat the price of $2.36 per plate.

The 1.5-pound package is fully cooked, gluten-free and made without artificial colors or flavors, with 13 grams of protein per serving. Serve the bites with mashed potatoes or rice, or toss them into pasta, tacos, salads or a stir-fry. Several reviewers were surprised by how tender they were.

Member's Mark Rotisserie Chicken Enchiladas

If you're not in the mood for a plain Sam's Club rotisserie chicken, the ultimate cheap meal, then these rotisserie chicken enchiladas are a tasty alternative.

They come already assembled and ready to pop in the oven for just $3.98 per pound.

The hand-rolled enchiladas are prepared fresh in the club daily with rotisserie chicken cooked in a mild red enchilada sauce, then topped with a three-cheese blend of Monterey Jack, cotija and Colby Jack. Bake them at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

The tray serves about three to four people. Add rice, refried beans or chips and salsa on the side for a heartier meal.

We love this taco kit because it's an easy way to have a DIY taco night and offers the ability to customize your tacos with additional sauces or toppings.

The kit is prepared fresh in the club daily and includes tortillas and sliced limes too, with enough for 12 tacos. Just heat the chicken and tortillas, and dinner is ready in about 15 minutes.

Top with fresh lime, and these tacos are cheaper per serving than most premade taco kits you'll find in other grocery stores, from Safeway to Sprouts. One reviewer calls the lime crema the real standout.

Zatarain's Blackened Chicken Alfredo

zatarains blackened chicken alfredo

Price: $14.78

This delicious New Orleans-style dinner will look and smell like a homemade meal, from the blackened white meat chicken mixed to the perfectly al dente penne pasta and zesty cheese sauce.

The 60-ounce package comes with two separate 30-ounce trays, so you can cook one tonight and save the other for later. It's made without high-fructose corn syrup, and you can heat it in the microwave or oven.

However, you'll be paying just $1.85 per serving for the pasta dish instead of the $3 per serving you would pay for Target's Good & Gather chicken alfredo. Zatarain's has been a New Orleans tradition since 1889.

Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pies

chicken pot pies

Price: $12.98

Chicken pot pie is one of the coziest meals around, and there's no need to make it from scratch with these personal pies packed with 17 grams of protein.

Each 10-ounce pie is made with no preservatives or artificial flavors or colors, and the filling comes in a savory, made-from-scratch gravy.

From the crispy, flaky pie shell to the tender white meat and mixed veggie filling, this is comfort food on a budget. You'll get eight for $12.98 or $1.62 per serving, which is $1.15 less than a single pot pie from Walmart.

You can heat them in the microwave or oven, though one reviewer notes the crust doesn't brown well in the microwave.

Bottom Line

While Sam's Club prices can help you save money on all kinds of groceries, shopping for prepackaged meals is the way to go if you want to save time and money on family dinners.

Be sure to factor in any additional meal costs, like side dishes or desserts, as you budget, so you can save even more during your next grocery trip.

Keep an eye on dates, too: Fresh, made-in-club meals like the Cobb salad, taco kit and enchiladas are best eaten soon after you buy them, while frozen picks can wait in the freezer for busy nights.

And if you're a Plus member, you'll earn 2% back in Sam's Cash on qualifying in-club purchases, up to $750 a year.
